Norma UK Wins at Donington 
The first round of the VdeV UK Series saw the Norma UK works team take fastest lap, pole position and ultimately a race victory. In a weekend of mixed weather the No. 7 car of Rob Garofall and Simon Phillips also topped the timing screens during practice.
Phillips said, “We had a very busy run up to the first meeting, not only to get the car ready but also to ensure we had a full stock of spares for other Norma teams”. “The team all worked incredibly hard and it looks like we hit the ground running”.
This was the first outing
for the car with the Mountune prepared newly homologated Honda FD2 CN engine.
Garofall commented “the engine and shift system performed faultlessly, we have
some fine tuning to do with regard to fuel economy but generally we are very
pleased”.
Norma UK are running 2 customer test days in the near future and provide full spares and technical support at all rounds of the VdeV UK Series.
